But it can also break
What was once innocent
And simple
Can be made into something which will complicate
Love can be forged
Love can be true
Love can be spread through you .
It's not about possessing it
Or how much of it you've received
But it's about how much of it
You can give
Small acts of kindness
To great acts of care
Demonstrates the love that you share
Misunderstandings , however ,
Can make love go haywire
Lack of communication
And lack of trust
Can make everything disappear without traces of dust .
One wrong word uttered
Another excuse mustered
And the love that was once there
Fades into oblivion
As if it never existed .
Love can be a sweet treat
But it can also be a fatal poison
Love can be manipulative
Driven by revenge
Which releases an awful stench
On the whole , true love is what everyone hopes to acquire .
Whether or not it is a fact to be acknowledged
That's a mystery , Sire
All I have to say is
Whether or not you believe in this love thing , it doesn't matter
